Tldr: Florence is NOT good for my nervous system right now ☠️ I’m wishing to leave sometime after my divorce is finalized at the end of August… Lisbon, or someplace like it (wether it’s Portugal, Italy, or a mysterious 3rd place…) feels supportive of how I would like to grow, in this next chapter. I’ve really, really been completely overwhelmed (in the past way possible!!!!) from all of your support over these past few days, and am doing my best to reply as quickly as I can to everyone 🥹🥹🥹💝 That in itself is more than I ever could have hoped for, but IF you would like to further support me step into this next chapter (and I certainly don’t EXPECT it of anyone) here are some ways you can do that: ✨ I recently finished several painting commissions and a design project, and currently have the capacity to accept more. My portfolios are linked in my bio :) ✨ I seem to have a talent for yapping on social media, and love to do collabs with small, ethical, and/or sustainable businesses that align with my values (of all sizes! I haven’t been able to talk publicly about my breakup before now because my Italian residency is/was legally tied to our relationship and it’s felt a bit isolating (I’m a big time yapper)… and also traditionally divorced women haven’t been treated that kindly by society so I’ve been a wee bit nervous. So much of what a woman needs to be to earn the label of being ‘good’ seems to be tied to her willingness to sacrifice herself and stay in situations that no longer support the version of herself she wants to be (in our case, it was a mutual realization that we were taking each other further from the paths we wanted to be on, and we agreed the most loving thing we could do would be to let each other go). ❤️‍🩹 I’ve needed a lot of time to privately grieve this dream; my heart is already in a delicate place coming to terms that something I had hoped would be life long was just one chapter, and you never know how the comment section will go. 😅 anyways, your messages really have and do mean the world to me!!! I’ve felt a weight come off my shoulders, and your kindness has definitely played a role in that.
