What if I told you weight and health are not as intertwined as we are led to believe? What if I told you weight stigma is actually rooted in… racism? That’s right. By discriminating against larger bodied beings and participating in fatshaming you are actually upholding racist ideologies.

The art of negotiation is an underrated and often under polished life skill. Do you interact with other people? Then the knowledge within this book will be helpful to you. While this book primarily focuses on negotiations in monetary situations I have found Chris Voss’s techniques to be invaluable and revolutionary regarding how to approach other topics as well.

I used to think that some emotions were inherently ‘good’ and others ‘bad,’ and then I read The Language of Emotions by Karla McLaren. This book taught me every emotion is a messenger with a purpose, and how to honor what they are trying to communicate.

Book, Many Lives, Many Masters by Brian L. Weiss

This is my all time favorite book. It not only brought me a surprising amount of comfort regarding death, but a new perspective of the gifts (comfortable and uncomfortable) this lifetime has to offer as well.

idk about you, but I’m tired of being on a hamster idk about you, but I’m tired of being on a hamster wheel of survival and not living up to my potential - time to lock tf in and get back to painting !! 🔒🔒🔒❤️‍🔥

(Sorry if you’ve been following me for a while and I’m sounding like a broken record - there is a fair number of new faces on here so I thought reiterating some of this would be worthwhile 🫶🏻:))

Enough people have asked me for an update regardin Enough people have asked me for an update regarding my plans, and wether I’m staying in Florence or not, that I figured I might as well make a dedicated post to it :)

(TLDR: I’m staying in Florence for now to get a permanent Italian residency, and to keep my momentum going!! Yee to the hawww 🦄🤠🤙🏻)

Several years ago, as my marriage fell apart, I de Several years ago, as my marriage fell apart, I desperately looked through thousands of listings over many, many months before I found this jewel. To my disbelief (and great fortune!) the landlords actually emailed me back and were open to renting to me (I’m a self-employed emerging artist and it seems like a lot of them prefer to rent to people with more consistent income, amongst other factors)! I’ve felt beyond lucky to spend the past year and a half or so slowly polishing it up into my little sanctuary 🪺❤️‍🩹💖 there’s still more to be done (I only just got cereal bowls and sheets that fit the bed properly a few weeks ago haha), but I have so much gratitude for how far I’ve come and for those who have been there for me. Shoutout to all of my friends and family who have helped me along the way, wether it was gifting me something to help me get back on my feet, or coming with me to a plant market to find the perfect new leafy friend - it would have taken so much longer to get to this point, and wouldn’t have been nearly as fun, without a community of support 🥹🥹🥹💛 #bachelorettepad #apartmenttour #girlabroad #onewayticket #apartmentdecorating
painting again (I hope u haven’t forgotten I’m act painting again (I hope u haven’t forgotten I’m actually an artist and not just a yapper haha 🙈). I took a year long break from painting (other than a few commissions behind the scenes, s/o to my clients <3) as I put myself back together while going through divorce. It can feel a little intimidating to be in front of the easel again (even just for a little low pressure study), so my only intention was to let myself have fun 🐚🫧
