  • Anti-racist read: Fearing the Black Body

What if I told you weight and health are not as intertwined as we are led to believe? What if I told you weight stigma is actually rooted in… racism? That’s right. By discriminating against larger bodied beings and participating in fatshaming you are actually upholding racist ideologies.

  • Learn life-changing negotiation skills with this book

The art of negotiation is an underrated and often under polished life skill. Do you interact with other people? Then the knowledge within this book will be helpful to you. While this book primarily focuses on negotiations in monetary situations I have found Chris Voss’s techniques to be invaluable and revolutionary regarding how to approach other topics as well.

  • The Language of Emotions

I used to think that some emotions were inherently ‘good’ and others ‘bad,’ and then I read The Language of Emotions by Karla McLaren. This book taught me every emotion is a messenger with a purpose, and how to honor what they are trying to communicate.

  • Many Lives, Many Masters

Book, Many Lives, Many Masters by Brian L. Weiss

This is my all time favorite book. It not only brought me a surprising amount of comfort regarding death, but a new perspective of the gifts (comfortable and uncomfortable) this lifetime has to offer as well.

  • Petal, by Adriana Picker

Petal, an illustrated botanical book, by Adriana Picker

This book is a wonderful escape into vivid, rich botanicals. Not only are the illustrations absolutely lovely, but it has substance on various florals as well. Petal would make a stunning gift to the plant lover in your life (maybe that’s you? 🌸).
